Import Duty Financing

This is a short-term credit facility meant to finance port charges on behalf of importers of motor vehicles . We facilitate faster settlement of duty charges at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and other bodies to avoid demurrages.

Requirements

Motor Vehicles

  • Bill of lading 3 copies
  • Certificate of roadworthiness (Jevic)
  • Country of origin logbook
  • Export certificate, logbook etc (translated into English where applicable)
  • Invoice

Note; all the above-mentioned documents MUST be original.

Additional documents required:

Individuals

  • ID and Pin certificate
  • 2 passport size photographs
  • Six months certified bank statements.
  • Cheque leaves for the loan period.

Companies

  • Board resolution to borrow
  • Company memorandum and articles of association
  • Company KRA pin, certificate of incorporation and CR12
  • Copies of KRA pin and id for the company’s directors
  • Company Seal
